Our Memories of Sandy Hook, Pugh Town, Rockdale & Sheepneck

$15.00

As General John Bell Hood entered the Middle Tennessee basin, it is said that he told some of his aids that “this country is so beautiful, it must surely be God’s Country”. At the time this was said, General Hood was speaking about the streams, woods and fields around Sandy Hook and Rockdale, Tennessee. This book was first published for the second annual Sandy Hook School Reunion, so to give all a glimpse back through the years and remember earlier times and people of the South Western portion of Maury County, Tennessee.

The Mt. Pleasant Maury Museum of Local History is proud to offer this second printing. The museum Board of Directors would like to thank Rick Gray and Phillip Crews for allowing the opportunity for the museum to re-release this book.
